There's a popular quote that's circulating right now and it says, "an ounce of action is worth a ton of theory."

I completely agree, but would add a word to it. 

An ounce of the right action is worth a ton of theory.

Much like if you shoot an arrow without aiming at your target, you've hit nothing but performed an action.
